Video CDN · 5 cities

Free video CDN with the whole platform in the box.

Most video CDNs sell you bandwidth and leave the rest to you. Ours arrives with the encoder entry, the player, the video library, the channel page and the people who run it. Start on the free plan with 1 TB a month, and pay for more only when your audience asks for it.

New · Production

No programmes yet? Make them in the dashboard.

The Production tab makes songs, jingles, voice-overs, ad spots, artwork and music videos from a few choices, then puts each finished file in your video library, ready for your TV station's playlists or a YouTube stream. You need no studio, no editor and no experience.

  1. Pick a formatA mood, a length, your brand's name, a voice. Nothing to write.
  2. It is written for youThe lyrics, the script and the picture's description, checked against the content rules before anything is made.
  3. It goes on airThe file lands in your library as a 1080p MP4, loudness-matched for broadcast and labelled as AI-generated.

Production uses your own account at Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, OpenAI or Stability AI: paste its API key once, and that company bills you for what you make, at its own prices. Included on every paid plan: Starter, Pro and Platinum.

How a stream travels

Five hops, and you only touch the first.

You point your encoder at one name. Everything after that is ours to carry: the long distance, the copies, the thousand viewers who press play in the same second.

  1. Your encoder

OBS, vMix, Wirecast or a hardware box sends RTMP, or SRT on a paid plan, to ingest.video.serverroom.net. That name answers with the city that serves your country.

  2. Your entry city

Your stream enters our network there and rides our own links home, so the long, lossy stretch is ours and not your upload's.

  3. Your channel

It lives on a server in New York or Bucharest and checks every viewer exactly as before: tokens, viewer cap and country rules.

  4. The viewer's edge

Each viewer is sent to the one of our 5 cities that serves their country: everyone in the US and Canada plays from New York. The edge fetches each video segment once and hands it to everyone watching there.

  5. Your viewer

Plays from https://play.video.serverroom.net/ in any HLS or DASH player, or in the embed we give you.

Where it runs

5 cities, one name to remember.

Viewers and encoders are steered by the country their network sits in, region by region as the table shows, so all of the US and Canada goes to New York. A steering answer is cached for 60 seconds, and a city that stops answering drops out within 60–120 seconds while another city takes its viewers. The servers in every one of those cities are our own.

  • San Francisco
  • Miami
  • New York
  • Amsterdam
  • Bucharest

Ringed cities also host channels; every city serves viewers and takes in encoders.

The honest number

What a terabyte costs.

Platforms that bundle a player tend to sell a few terabytes and charge by the gigabyte after that. Raw CDNs are cheap, and hand you nothing but delivery. We built the platform and kept the CDN price, and the chart is drawn to scale so you can see the gap.

Dacastbandwidth past the plan at $0.30 per GB (pricing page, 2026-10-20)$300/TB
CastrPremium: 3 TB a month for $199.99 (pricing page, 2026-10-20)$66.66/TB
Server Room Propast 100 TB in a month$4.50/TB
Server Room Platinumpast 500 TB in a month$4/TB

Their figures come from each vendor's own pricing page on the date shown. Ours are the price of one terabyte past the allowance a plan already includes: 100 TB on Pro, 500 TB on Platinum.

Plans

Every plan, side by side.

One family covers live video, video on demand and delivery. The free plan is live streaming only; the video library starts at Starter. Viewer limits are enforced on your channel's own server, so the number in the table is the number you get.

The parts other CDNs leave for you to build.

Player

An embed that plays anywhere

Ad-free, up to 1080p, with no domain restrictions. Paste one snippet into your site and it plays through the CDN.

Restream

YouTube, Facebook and Twitch at once

Send one channel to up to 5 destinations from the dashboard, with your own stream keys. Your encoder only sends once.

Audience · new

Who watched, now and afterwards

The Live tab lists every viewer as they watch, and analytics then give you distinct viewers, watch time, peak audience, the cities that served them and quality of experience.

Browsers

Go live from OBS 30 or a browser

Besides RTMP and SRT, each channel takes WebRTC publishing (WHIP), with about half a second of delay on the way in.

Discovery

A public station page

Every channel can have its own page and a place in our TV guide, the free plan included.

Continuity

Links you already shared keep working

Moving to the CDN does not break an old address. Your channel's original links still play, and the CDN link sits beside them in the dashboard.

Answers

Questions people ask before they start.

Is the free video CDN really free?

Yes. The free plan has no monthly fee, a $5 setup fee once, and 1 TB of transfer every month through all 5 cities. It is live streaming only: the video library starts on Starter at $29 a month, and the TV station on Pro at $99.

What happens when I use more transfer than my plan includes?

Each plan lists its price for a terabyte past the allowance, from $5 on Free down to $4 on Platinum. The dashboard shows the month's transfer as it happens, and on the free plan you can add terabytes yourself at $5 each, so a busy month never arrives as a surprise.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, from the dashboard. Moving from Free starts the new plan today. Moving between paid plans charges only the difference for the rest of your current period, and your renewal date stays where it was.

Which encoders work?

Anything that sends RTMP: OBS, vMix, Wirecast, Teradek and most hardware encoders. Paid plans add SRT, which holds a picture steady over long or lossy connections, and every channel takes WebRTC publishing from OBS 30 or a browser.

Is there analytics on the CDN?

Yes, on every plan. Each live channel gets distinct viewers, watch time, peak audience, countries, devices and which of our cities served them, plus startup, stall and error figures from our player. Plans differ in history: 7 days on Free up to 365 on Platinum. TV stations aren't covered by these reports.

How many people can watch at once?

1,000 on Free and Starter, 5,000 on Pro and 25,000 on Platinum. Above that, Enterprise is priced for your audience.

Do I need to change the links I already gave out?

No. Your channel's original links keep playing. The CDN link is added beside them in the dashboard, and you switch your player to it when you are ready.
