Standard
The full Windows Server with Hyper-V. Microsoft allows two virtual machines on a host whose cores are all licensed. Pick it for a web, application or file server.
Dedicated servers · Windows Server
A Windows dedicated server is a physical machine we deliver with Windows Server installed and Remote Desktop working. You pick the processor, memory and drives, we bill the Microsoft licence by the core on the same monthly invoice, and you log in as Administrator.
No hypervisor of ours sits under Windows, so Hyper-V, IIS, Active Directory and SQL Server run on the hardware itself. Monthly billing, no contract.
Read from the order catalogue
Each row is one machine and the licence it needs, added up. The machine and the licence are shown apart, because the licence follows the processor and the machine price does not.

Prices come from the catalogue the configurator reads, and the configurator quotes the exact total before you pay. A configured build is a custom order and pays its setup fee once. The machine costs 5%, 10% or 15% less on a 3, 6 or 12 month cycle; the Windows licence costs the same every month on any cycle. Ready servers on the instant list are online about 30 minutes after payment approval.
The licence
The licence is priced from the cores in the machine, not from its price. On most of our lines Standard is $20.79 a month up to eight cores, then $2.59 per core for every core in the machine. Datacenter is $141.49 up to eight cores, then $17.69 per core.

Most servers

Many virtual machines
Any number of Windows virtual machines on the host. It costs several times Standard, so it pays off only on a host that runs many Windows guests.
Small office
$19.79 a month per processor, for up to 25 users and 50 devices under Microsoft's terms. Offered with Server 2019 and older on our lines.
Fewer cores means a smaller licence. A four-core cartridge pays the same flat Standard fee as an eight-core one, and a two-socket server pays for the cores in both sockets.
Versions
The order form lists Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025. Server 2025 is on 8 of the 16 lines that run Windows: the rack and blade servers. The Moonshot cartridges stop at Server 2022, and our ARM machines do not run Windows Server at all.
| Release | Security updates from Microsoft until | Our advice |
|---|---|---|
| Windows Server 2025 | November 2034 | The default for a new server, on rack and blade machines. |
| Windows Server 2022 | October 2031 | The newest release on a cartridge. Mainstream support ended in October 2026; security fixes continue. |
| Windows Server 2019 | January 2029 | Only when an application is certified for 2019 and nothing newer. |
| Windows Server 2016 | January 2027 | Plan the move now. Its updates stop in a few months. |
| 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 | Ended in 2023 and 2020 | No security updates. Keep them off the public internet. |
Support dates are Microsoft's, from its lifecycle pages at learn.microsoft.com. Windows 11 Pro is on the order form as well, for a remote desktop machine rather than a server.

It is a physical server that runs Windows Server for one customer only. Every core, every gigabyte of memory and every drive is yours, and you administer it over Remote Desktop as Administrator.
Our smallest Windows build is $32.00 a month with Windows Server 2022 Standard included, plus $13 setup once. The cheapest build with 8 licensed cores and 32 GB DDR3 memory comes to $61.59 a month with the licence. The configurator prices any other build before you pay.
Yes, when you choose a Windows image in the order form. The licence is a line on your monthly invoice, priced by the cores in the machine: Standard is $20.79 up to eight cores and $2.59 per core beyond that on most lines.
Yes, on our rack and blade servers. Windows Server 2025 Standard and Datacenter are on 8 of our lines. The Moonshot cartridges offer Windows Server 2022 and older.
Standard for nearly everyone. It includes Hyper-V and covers two Windows virtual machines on a host with all cores licensed. Datacenter covers any number of Windows virtual machines and costs several times more, so choose it only for a host packed with Windows guests.
Yes. Windows runs on the hardware itself, so the Hyper-V role uses the processor's virtualization extensions directly. Standard covers two Windows guests; Datacenter covers any number, and Linux guests need no Windows licence at all.
No. The port is unmetered: it has no transfer allowance and we bill no overage, at every port speed. Your traffic is limited only by the port speed you choose.
We run Windows servers in New York, Bucharest, Amsterdam, San Francisco and Miami. Each build in the table shows its own cities. A line sold only in Europe is priced in euros.
A ready server is online about 30 minutes after your payment is approved. A configured build takes 4 to 24 hours. Either way we email the IP address and the Administrator login when Remote Desktop is ready.
Start a live chat at any hour. Our AI answers in seconds, can check your account and your server, and walks you through fixes such as a locked Administrator account. Ask for a person and one takes over.
