A nameserver
A secondary DNS for your zones, on a different network from your primary, in New York and Bucharest. BIND, PowerDNS or NSD idle on this machine.
Its own IPv4 address, on our networkMicro dedicated server · New York and Bucharest
It is the smallest machine we rack: one AMD Opteron X2150 APU cartridge with 4 cores, 8 GB of memory, a 32 GB SSD and an unmetered 500 Mbps port, on an IPv4 address of its own. Root is yours, the hardware is yours, and the bill is $5 a month after a one-time $13 for the build.
The price, itemised
Every line below is read from the order catalogue, the same record that bills you. Change a line on the order page and the total moves with it; leave it as it stands and this is the invoice.
So the first invoice is $18 and every one after it is $5. A faster processor (1.8 GHz, $10 more a month), a bigger disk (up to 240 GB SSD, $13 a month) and monitoring that watches the machine for you ($2 a month) are on the order form, each with its price beside it.
What it is for
Small, always on, and better off outside the box that runs your real workload. Four cores and eight gigabytes are plenty for each of these.
A secondary DNS for your zones, on a different network from your primary, in New York and Bucharest. BIND, PowerDNS or NSD idle on this machine.
Its own IPv4 address, on our networkWireGuard or OpenVPN for your team or your home, on an address that never changes. The unmetered port means a month of tunnelled traffic costs what an idle month costs.
500 Mbps, nothing countedThe one machine that must stay up when everything else is down. Uptime Kuma, a static status page, the probes that watch your other servers.
A second network, on purposeA GitHub Actions or GitLab runner that is yours alone: no queue, no per-minute meter, and your secrets stay on a machine you own.
4 cores, 8 GB, rootA static site, a blog, a Nextcloud for one family, a game server for a few friends. The 32 GB SSD holds the system and a small site; the order form offers more.
Ubuntu 26.04 or 27 other systemsLogs, metrics, backups of the configuration files that matter: the small box that receives from the big ones and keeps a copy somewhere else.
Always on, $5 a monthBefore you order
4 cores at 1.1 GHz serve pages, answer DNS and move packets through a tunnel all day. They do not transcode video, compile a browser in a hurry or run a model. For that, start with every server under $100, or a machine that is racked and ready now.
The cartridge holds 8 GB and takes no more. A database that wants to live in memory, or a dozen containers, belongs on a bigger line.
The 32 GB SSD holds the system and your data, and there is one of it. Keep copies elsewhere, take the larger disk on the order form (up to 240 GB SSD), or add the nightly backup offered there.
This price is for the standard build, put together when you order it: $13 once, and 4 to 24 hours until it is online. The order page also lists the units of this line already racked, which are online in about 30 minutes at their own price.

Questions
Yes. It is one physical cartridge with its own processor, memory, disk and network port, and you are the only tenant. There is no hypervisor and nothing shared with another customer, which is why the price can be the whole story.
$5 a month covers the AMD Opteron X2150 APU with 4 cores, 8 GB of memory, the 32 GB SSD, one IPv4 address, the unmetered 500 Mbps port and basic support. A faster processor, a larger disk, a 1 Gbps port, monitoring and a Windows licence are optional and priced on the order form.
The standard build is put together when you order it: the cartridge is configured, the operating system installed and the address routed. That work is charged once, $13, with the first invoice. The monthly price never carries it.
A build is online 4 to 24 hours after your order is approved; the login details appear in your dashboard. The order page also lists the units of this line already racked, which are online in about 30 minutes.
Yes. The order form lists Windows Server editions and Windows 11 Pro beside Ubuntu 26.04, Debian, AlmaLinux and Proxmox VE. A Windows licence is priced on the form; 8 GB is comfortable for a small Windows service and tight for a desktop session.
Yes. Nothing counts the traffic in or out, so a VPN that carries a household's whole month costs the same as an idle box. The port can be raised to 1 Gbps on the order form.
This line is racked in New York and Bucharest; you choose the hall on the order page. Both sit on our own network, so a nameserver or a VPN here is on a different path from a server anywhere else.
Yes. Order the bigger machine, copy your data across and close this one; billing stops when the server is closed, with no notice period. The lines from $5 up to $100 are compared on the value page.
