First question
If there is, take it. A machine that is already racked, cabled and powered goes live in about thirty minutes, and it often costs less than the same specification put together from parts — because it is standing there and this one has to be built.
Build to order when the answer is no: an odd memory size, a particular array, a third and fourth socket, a port past a gigabit, or a city that holds none of that machine this week. That is the whole of what this page is for.

Nothing here is a step you cannot walk back. Memory, drives and the controller change after the machine is live, scheduled around your maintenance window, typically inside 4 – 24 hours.

Any build, in any of them. Somewhere else is usually possible within thirty days — ask before you assume it is not.
Before you start
Yes, and how many of them — one, two or four physical processors depending on the platform. Every part each platform takes is in the configurator, with what it does to the monthly price. Four sockets have a page of their own.
From 8 GB on the smallest cartridge to 2 TB on the largest four-socket board, all of it registered ECC. Each platform has its own ceiling and its own ladder, both in the table above; what each rung costs is further up.
SATA, SAS, SATA-SSD, SAS-SSD and NVMe, up to twenty-four bays with the largest controller, in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 or 10 — or JBOD if you would rather the array was your operating system's problem. The controller decides which shapes exist, which is why it comes before the drive.
Four to twenty-four hours from the moment the order clears review, and you are told when it starts. A machine already on the shelf is about thirty minutes, which is why the instant shelf is the first question on this page.
No setup fee on any build-to-order line except the $5 cartridge, which carries a one-off $13. Billing is monthly and you can stop at the end of any month. Paying three, six or twelve months ahead takes 5%, 10% or 15% off the same machine.
Memory, drives and the controller, yes — scheduled around your maintenance window and typically finished inside 4 – 24 hours once the parts are on hand. A different processor usually means a different platform, so that is a migration rather than an upgrade.

It is the checkout's own arithmetic on the checkout's own catalogue, so it lands on the same figure — give or take a couple of cents on a multi-drive array, where the billing system rounds a per-drive price its own way. It excludes VAT and sales tax, which depend on where you are.
