Server Room is a Hetzner alternative with dedicated servers in the US: bare metal in New York, Miami and San Francisco, plus Amsterdam and Bucharest, all on our own network, AS19624. Hetzner keeps its dedicated servers in Germany and Finland.
Below: where each provider's machines sit, what a 10 Gbps port costs once you count the traffic, three machines set against their nearest Hetzner model, and the cases where Hetzner is the better buy.
Location
Hetzner sells cloud servers in Ashburn and Hillsboro, but every Hetzner dedicated server is in Germany or Finland. A visitor in Chicago or Los Angeles reaches it across the Atlantic, on every request.
Our dedicated servers are racked in five cities and routed on our own autonomous system. Pick the city closest to your users; each one has its own data center page.
Hardware and price
Three of our machines, each above the Hetzner model nearest to it in class. Our side is the cheapest complete build of that machine, read live from the order form; memory, disks and port can all be raised before you pay. Their side is Hetzner's own list.

Our prices are in US dollars and include one IPv4 address. A ready server ordered exactly as it stands pays no setup fee except on the smallest cartridge line; any change to it makes it a configured build, which pays the one-time fee shown. Hetzner figures are its US dollar list from the price change of 15 June 2026, before VAT and before the primary IPv4 address. Hetzner moved prices and setup fees more than once in 2026, so check its site for today's number.

Bandwidth
Hetzner's 10G uplink is $48 a month and includes 20 TB of outgoing traffic; every further TB is $1.20. Our 10 Gbps port is $529 a month on top of the machine, with no transfer allowance and no overage price.
Under roughly 420 TB of outgoing traffic a month, Hetzner's uplink costs less. Past it, ours does, and a port held at line rate for a month moves about 3,240 TB, which on the metered uplink comes to $3,912.

* 10 Gbps held for 30 days: 1.25 GB per second for 2,592,000 seconds. Hetzner also notes that a server on its 10G uplink cannot use the Robot firewall and does not keep its old IP addresses. Beyond the hardware
The server is one line on the invoice. These are the others that decide the move.
The other side
Some workloads belong at Hetzner. If yours is one of these, stay.
For an audience in Germany or the Nordics, Falkenstein and Helsinki are close, and the newer AMD Ryzen and Intel Core Ultra models give a lot of DDR5 and NVMe for the money.
If you want the headroom of a fast port but send well under 420 TB a month, the metered uplink is the cheaper of the two.
Hetzner sells cloud servers in Europe and the US under the same account. We sell dedicated machines first; our cloud servers are a separate line.
Moving
Run both servers side by side until the new one passes every check. The old one stays your rollback.
Match cores, memory and disk to what the Hetzner box actually uses, not what it was sold with. Pick the city nearest your users.
Install the same OS, sync data over the unmetered port, and test on the new IP while the old server keeps serving.
Drop the TTL a day ahead, run a last sync, switch the records, then cancel at Hetzner. Our server migration plan covers each step and what we help with at no charge.

Yes. Server Room runs dedicated servers in New York, Miami and San Francisco, which Hetzner does not; its US locations are cloud only. We also have Amsterdam and Bucharest for European users, all on our own network, AS19624.
Since 15 June 2026, Hetzner lists the AX42-1 at $117.10 a month plus $59 setup, the EX63-1 at $172.10 plus $84, and the EX131-1 at $667.10 plus $334, before VAT and IPv4. Limited-stock models start at $67.10 for the AX41-1-LTD.
The AX42-1 is an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8700GE with 8 cores, 64 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and two 512 GB NVMe drives on a 1 Gbps port. It lists at $117.10 a month plus $59 setup. The AX42-1-LTD version is $77.30 plus $39 while stock lasts.
An Intel Core Ultra 7 265 with 20 cores, 64 GB of DDR5 and two 1 TB NVMe drives, in Falkenstein or Helsinki, at $172.10 a month plus $84 setup. Our nearest rack server is in the comparison above, with its live price.
Not on the standard 1 Gbps port. On the 10G uplink, outgoing traffic past 20 TB a month is billed at $1.20 per TB. Our ports are unmetered at every speed, including 10 Gbps.
Yes. Every Server Room dedicated server comes with one IPv4 address, and more can be added on the order form. Hetzner's list prices exclude the primary IPv4 address, which it bills separately.
Yes. cPanel Premier for up to 100 domains is $49.50 a month on the order form, and we install it for $29.99 once. Hetzner stopped selling new cPanel licences on 15 January 2025.
