Per file
What you can do with each video.
The library is a list you control directly. Each file carries its facts as read from the file itself, and the actions sit on the same row.
Size, length, resolution, frame rate
Taken from the file after upload, so you see what your viewers will get before you publish a link.
Play it in the dashboard
Watch any ready file in the tab itself before you hand out the link.
Rename without re-uploading
Give a file a title of up to 120 characters. The original filename stays visible beside it.
CDN link or server link
Copy an HLS link that plays from the city nearest each viewer, or one that plays from the server your library is on. Both work; you choose per use.
A player for every file
Copy an HTML5 embed code and paste it into any https page. The embed asks which of the two links it should play from.
Space back at once
Deleting removes the file from storage and frees that space in your plan's library.
Uploads
Uploads that survive a dropped connection.
Large files are sent in parts, so a slow line or a closed laptop costs you minutes, not the whole upload.
Parts
Your browser sends the file in 8 MiB parts, three at a time, straight from disk.
Retries
A part that fails is sent again with a growing pause, up to six tries, without you doing anything.
Resume
Close the tab and the upload is offered again when you come back. We keep a quiet upload for a week.
Check
The storage host joins the parts and checks the file against the format below.
Ready
The row turns Ready with its links, or Rejected with the reason in plain words.

Access control
Signed links that expire.
By default a file's link plays for anyone who has it. Turn on signed links and every file in the library plays only from a link you generate, which stops working when its time is up.
- Lifetime. From one hour to one year per link; 24 hours unless you say otherwise.
- One address. Optionally, new links play only for the IP address they were made for.
- Kill switch. Invalidate every link made so far in one step, for example after a link leaks.
- Through the CDN. Only the playlist carries the token, so signed links play from the nearest city too.

The CDN link of every file is answered by the nearest of our 5 cities. What your viewers download counts against the same monthly transfer as your live channels: 10 TB on Starter, 100 TB on Pro, 500 TB on Platinum.

Beyond single files
The same library feeds your TV station and TV app.

What it does not do, so you can plan around it.
Most online video platforms transcode every upload into a ladder of qualities. This video management platform does not, on purpose: fewer moving parts, no quality loss, and no encoding minutes on your bill.

Questions about managing a video library.
What is a video content management system?
It is where you upload, organise, protect and publish video. Ours is the Media tab of your dashboard: it checks every file, gives each one a CDN link, a server link and an embed code, and can require signed links that expire.
Does the video CMS transcode my uploads?
No. Files are not re-encoded. Upload MP4 with H.264 video up to 1920×1080 and AAC sound, and it plays exactly as exported. A file that does not meet the format is rejected with the reason.
Can I stop people from sharing my video links?
Yes. Turn on signed links and each file plays only from a link you generate, valid from one hour to one year. You can bind new links to one IP address and invalidate every earlier link at once.
What happens if my upload is interrupted?
It resumes. The file goes up in 8 MiB parts, failed parts are retried, and if you close the tab the upload is offered again when you return, for up to a week.
How large can a single video and the whole library be?
A single file can be up to 100 GB. The library holds 50 GB on Starter, 200 GB on Pro and 2 TB on Platinum.
Is the video library included on the free plan?
No. Free carries live channels and no library. The library starts on Starter at $29 a month, or $19 a month paid yearly.
