A hardware encoder takes the feed off your desk, encodes it, and holds the connection to our servers itself. There is no desktop to keep awake, no operating system that reboots for an update halfway through a broadcast, and no session that ends when somebody logs out. Every unit below is one we sell, configure against your account, and support on our own streaming platform.
For radio. Analog or digital in, SHOUTcast or Icecast out, and the unit reconnects on its own after a power cut or a line drop. These are the ones an FM station uses to simulcast its own signal without putting a PC in the chain.
HDMI or SDI in, H.264 or H.265 out over RTMP. The difference between these three is where the encoding happens: in a bag on a camera operator, on a production desk, or in the rack beside everything else.
The encoder is one half. The other half is the server it points at, and both come from us, which is why the settings are ours to give you rather than yours to work out.
